JKSSB Provisional Selection List Of Inspector Fisheries Out

Subject: Provisional Selection List of candidates for the posts of Deputy Inspector Fisheries/Equivalent (Level-4; Item No. 656: Div. Jammu; Item No. 657: Div. Kashmir), Animal/Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries Department, advertised vide Notification No. 04 of 2021 dated 17.07.2021.

Whereas, the Animal/Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries Department, vide Indent No. ASH/Coord/24/2014 dated 29.09.2020, among other posts, forwarded the requisition for making direct recruitment to 42 posts of Deputy Inspector Fisheries/Equivalent.

Whereas, the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) advertised these 42 posts, pertaining to Division Cadre, Jammu (10 Posts) and Division Cadre, Kashmir (32 Posts), vide Notification No. 04 of 2021 dated 17.07.2021, under Item Nos. 656 and 657 respectively, for seeking applications from the eligible candidates; and

Whereas, in terms of the notified selection criteria, the selection for these posts was required to be made on the basis of the written examination only and accordingly, the JKSSB conducted the Computer Based Test (CBT) on 08.02.2023, in two shifts and on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the aforesaid CBT, the Board, vide Notification No. JKSSB-COE0EXAM(UT)/06/2023-04(7110979) dated 09.06.2023, published the Result/Score-sheet of the candidates; and

Whereas, this was followed by the Document Verification (DV) of the candidates falling in the consideration zone, vide Notification No. JKSSB-COE0EXAM(UT)/48/2023-03(7207093) dated 20.06.2023 and Supplementary Document Verification vide Notification No. JKSSB-COE0EXAM(UT)/48/2023-03(7207093) dated 18.07.2023; and

Whereas, the Board, vide Office Order No. 240-SSB of 2023 dated 25.10.2023, constituted a Selection Committee for finalizing the selection for these posts. The Committee, on the basis of the merit of the candidates as obtained in " CBT examination, preferences as exercised by the candidates, category-wise break-up of vacancies and record furnished by the Document Verification Committees, has prepared the Provisional Selection List for these posts; and

Whereas, the Board, in its 247th meeting held on 28.11.2023, deliberated/considered the proposal and approved the Provisional Selection List for the aforementioned posts. Among the candidates falling in the consideration zone in EWS Category, one candidate namely Mr. Altaf Hussain Mir has failed to furnish all required/original documents at the time of his Document Verification and, accordingly, a Notice was served upon him vide No. JKSSB-Scry/18/2023-03(E-7325184) dated 11.12.2023, which, however did-not evoke any response. Accordingly, his candidature has not been considered for selection in provisional list and an eligible candidate, figuring next In order of merit under the relevant category, has been included in the provisional list.

Now, therefore, the Provisional Selection List of the candidates for the posts of Deputy Inspector (Fisheries), belonging to the Animal/Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries Department, advertised vide Notification No. 04 of 2021 dated 17.07.2021, under Item No. 656 (Divisional Cadre, Jammu) & 657 (Divisional Cadre, Kashmir), is hereby notified as per Annexure-A & Annexure-B to this notification. It is further ordered that:

(1) The Provisional Selection List shall be subject to outcome of writ petition(s)/application(s), if any, pending adjudication before any competent court of law.

(ii) The Provisional Selection List shall also be subject to the outcome of any pending enquiry, involving candidate(s), figuring in this Selection List.

(illi) This is a Provisional List only and shall be subject to change as per the objections as may be received against it and it shall not confer any right for final selection, which shall be notified after taking note of the objections based on merit.

In case any candidate/s is aggrieved with this Provisional Selection List, he/she may represent through the email address deputyinspectorfisheries@gmail.com within five days from the date of its Notification, beyond which no representations shall be entertained. The e-mail in this regard shall necessarily include complete details of the candidate including Name, Address, Roll Number and Contact Number.
