Subject: Jammu & Kashmir Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination, 2023 - Declaration of result thereof.


Notification No. PSC/Exam/S/2023/68

Dated: 27.10.2023

On the basis of J&K Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination, 2023, held on 15.10.2023, the candidates with the Roll numbers, as per Annexure-A to this notification, are hereby declared to have qualified for admission to the J&K Combined Competitive (Mains) Examination, 2023. However, the result of the candidate who has been allowed to appear in the Examination on the directions of the Hon'ble CAT shall be declared subject to the Hon'ble CAT orders. 

In accordance with the Rules of Examination, all these candidates have to apply again through online mode for J&K Combined Competitive (Mains) Examination, 2023, for which a detailed notification shall be issued separately. The Mains Examination shall be held w.e.f. 20.02.2024.

Note:-

1. For checking the result, candidates are advised to access the official website of the Commission i.e. http://www.jkpsc.nic.in.

ii. The candidature of candidates shown in Annexure to this notification is purely provisional and subject to the production of the original documents/certificates in support of their claims pertaining to age, educational qualifications, category and disability etc, at any stage of examination Le. Mains Examination/Viva-voce and in case any discrepancy with regard to age/qualification and other eligibility conditions is noticed, the candidature shall be deemed to have been cancelled ab-initio.

This is subject to the outcome of writ petition, if any, pending disposal before any competent Court of Law

FINAL ANSWER KEY

JAMMU AND KASHMIR PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION

Subject: Conduct of J&K Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination 2023- Disposal of the Objections /Representations received against the Provisional Official Answer Key(s) and issuance of Final Official Answer Key(s) thereof.

Reference: Rule 10 (d) to 10 (f) of the J&K Public Service Commission (Conduct of Examination) Rules, 2022.

Notification No. PSC/Exam(S)/2023/67 Dated: 27.10.2023

1. Whereas, the J&K Public Service Commission conducted the J&K Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination 2023, on 15.10.2023; and

2. Whereas, the Provisional official key(s) were notified and uploaded on the official website of the Commission for information of the candidates vide Notification No. PSC/Exam/S/2023/65 dated 15.10.2023, inter-alia notifying that, if any candidate feels that the key(s) to any of the question(s) are wrong/incorrect, he/she may prefer a representation/objection on the prescribed proforma to the Controller of Examinations within a period of three days from the date of the said notification along with documentary proof /evidence and a fee of Rs.500/- per question; and

3. Whereas, in response to the said notification, number of objections/ representations were received by the J&K Public Service Commission against the Provisional Answer Key(s); and

4. Whereas, all the objections/representations were referred to the Committee(s) of Experts as envisaged in Rule 10 (d) of the J&K Public Service Commission (Conduct of Examination) Rules, 2022, as amended from time to time, for Independent Expert opinion; and

5. Whereas, the independent team of Experts have recommended changes in the Provisional Official Answer Key(s) in respect of the said papers;

Now, therefore, in view of the above and on the basis of opinion of the independent teams of Experts, it is hereby notified that:-

a) The changes recommended by the Committee(s) of Experts are hereby adopted and the Final Official Answer Key(s) are annexed to this notification as Annexure A and B in respect of General Studies-I and General Studies-II respectively. In terms of Rule 10 (d) of the J&K Public Service Commission (Conduct of Examination) Rules, 2022 as amended upto date, the marks allocated to the deleted questions shall be individually added to the marks secured by the individual candidates to ensure that the mark(s) allocated for the question paper as a whole remain unchanged, at the time of calculation/compilation of award sheet before the declaration of the result;

b) The amount deposited @ Rs 500/- per question is also hereby released in respect of genuine/correct representations and same shall be transferred through RTGS to individual account of candidates.
